Enterprise architecture allows USDA Office of the CIO (OCIO) to carry out planned events efficiently and react quickly to unplanned events. TrueTandem assisted USDA OCIO in the strategic planning, improvement of IT organization and processes, project management and schedules, detailed implementation steps, evaluation and selection of tools and technologies to aid USDA in successful deployment of a consolidation messaging system.

TrueTandem designed and delivered an extensible solution which included a new interface, an enhanced data model and a series of .NET components, all deployed within the existing ASP environment. InScope also replaced the outdated MS Site Server with the SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Search Engine and an Xml-based configuration / customization framework.

This approach leveraged the existing application code, significantly improved search performance and extensibility, required virtually no down-time, and provided immediate ROI.
